Born and raised in the Grenoble's area, I understand rather fast that my life will not be very peace when I give up my studies for the benefit of the Mountain. I start to be mountain guide at 22 years old, I begin to work with Odyssey Mountain and I was a member of the national team of CAF, I begin numerous expeditions almost everywhere. Always motivated and enthusiastic for new experiences, I become a manager of these teams of CAF, then technical adviser at Simond. Fascinated by pictures, I rise with a friend " Yeti Production ", a video mountain production compagny. During this time, I continue to cross the mountains of the world with always the same energy and the same motivation. We say about me that my cheerfulness is contagious, and I hope I can indeed pass on to you very soon.

| Hooked on the mountain, and especially on the vertical atmospheres of waterfalls and cliffs, I opened numerous mixed, rocky or glacial routes in Ecrins area before coming to settle down in the Mont Blanc range. If you do not cross me in a beautiful wall of the Alps, it is certainly because I would be on another beautiful wall somewhere else in the world! I am delighted to be able to share my passion by exercising my job as mountain guide. The wintry climbing, the frozen waterfall and the journeys are practices which hold me particularly heart and I like sharing with my companions. |

I was born in Milano 45 years ago. I have began to go mountain in to Gran Paradiso’s valley, in particular on the Piemonte side where I live from 30 years. From the beginnig of years 80’ I have learn to climb on these mountains,also a play with some friends. I’ve became a mountain guide thanks to this mountain’s great passion; throw this activity I have the possibility to know many different people and also many places, and I like to do it!
I don’t have any place pheraphs or I have read too much Emingway’s and Sepulveda’s books, so I’d like very much to be around the world every day, for the happiness of my poor wife!!!! |

Laurent Roche |
Native from the massif central, I first discovered the mountain in the Sancy range in there wandering the slopes in the winter and volcanic dikes in the summer. Then I migrated southward in the beautiful sunshine of the Ecrins area with the nice Céüze cliff in the background. The wild valleys from Valgaudemar and Valjouffrey became my playground and I discovered the pleasure of ridges journey.
Now living at the foot of Mont Blanc, I continue to realize my passion and my love of discovery with a predilection for the nice edges races, cross country skiing but also travel with a preference for the Himalayan chain.

Founded in 1993 per Sandrine and Pierre Schmidt, Odyssée Mountain is based in the middle of the Alps, in Chamonix. Each year, we take you along more in the Alps as in the other solid masses of the world… and they are your testimonys and your encouragements which push us forwards!
Forts of a beautiful experiment on the highest mountains of the world, we are craftsmen of the voyage: competences of our guides and our local teams are combined with our experiment to design original circuits leaving the beaten paths.
Small groups : in the Alps like abroad, we made the choice of the small groups to ensure an optimal safety.
The Alps: from 1 to 4 participants in training course of alpinism according to the technicality of the races, to 8 people in glacial excursion.
Trekking/forwarding: 10 people maximum, 8 on more technical circuits and 6 for committed forwardings.
A reinforced framing : the large majority of our programs are framed by guides of high French mountain. They are the guarantors of the good course of your stay. Our guides are professionals experienced and graduate UIAGM, recruited for their specific competences in each field: forwarding, ski touring, cascades of ice, alpinism, formation…
We work as often as possible with the same guides, sirdars and local teams, which we formed with our way of working.
